From tasty goat legs to a handsome guy: this is how we saw Carla in Heel Holland Bakt (episode 2)

Carla from Zoetermeer is participating in the eleventh season of All of Holland Bakt. During the second episode, jury member Robèrt makes her nervous and she shoots out her homemade strawberry liqueur in the macarons. “Italians love it.”

In the television program All of Holland Bakt hobby bakers show their best side. The broadcast consists of three assignments: your own creation based on a classic recipe, the technical assignment and the spectacle. The theme of the second episode is ‘foam’.

The flames burst out

For the first assignment, the participants make a variation on a lemon meringue pie. Carla uses her homemade limoncello and lemon “raps” for this. She would love to eat the dough, but she holds herself back. Juror Robèrt makes her nervous, but she calls him a sexy and handsome guy. All in the battle to score points!

Carla wants to give her lemon cake brown swirls with a gas burner, but the flames shoot out of the burner. Ultimately, she gets the jury’s vote for her Limoncellove a positive review. “I think it looks nice,” says Janny. “But it has become more of a classic than a variation on it.”

Exemplary goat legs

Within an hour, Carla makes a baking tray with 25 goat legs for the technical assignment. Fellow participant Pien is not doing well, so Carla helps her in the kitchen. At the same time, she seizes the opportunity to pair her 21-year-old single son with 25-year-old Pien. Carla’s goat legs are very popular with the jury. “The structure and the chocolate are well made,” says jury member Janny. Ultimately, Carla finished in second place with this technical assignment.

Too much strawberry liqueur

For the third and final assignment, the nine participants make a cake and macarons. Carla creates her spectacle with fresh strawberries, flowers, butterflies and pink marzipan. She decorates the cake all around with lilac-colored macarons. Jury member Janny likes the taste of the cake, but she says it contains too much strawberry liqueur. Even though the jury thought she was better in the previous broadcast, Carla advanced to the next round. The third episode of All of Holland Bakt is on Sunday, February 11 at 8:25 PM on broadcaster Max on NPO1.
