Which gigs are worth doing in October? We looked across Germany – here are our recommendations.
We have picked out concerts for you across Germany in October that are worth attending – including Tristan Brusch, My Ugly Clementine, The National, Lauv and Ski Aggu.
October 11-15: Gracie Abrams
Gracie Abrams represents soft and dreamy pop. Her debut album GOOD RIDDANCE was only released in February 2023, and now the songwriter is already a special guest at Taylor Swift’s concerts and fills halls all over the world herself. In October, the “I miss you, I’m sorry” singer is coming to Germany for four dates. From October 11th to 15th you can see Gracie Abrams play live in Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin and Munich.
October 2nd to 23rd: Tristan Brusch
On his current album AM WAHN, Tristan Brusch deals with hypertoxic and harmful relationships. “You think you’re experiencing love, but you’re actually just delusional,” the musician explains the meaning of the title. The “Fisch” singer is now sharing his experiences on his tour of Germany. In October Brusch is coming to seven German cities – including Dresden, Cologne, Wiesbaden and Berlin. His work WOYZECK was published on September 22nd, which is used to stage Georg Büchner’s drama fragment of the same name at the Berliner Ensemble.
October 1st to 13th: My Ugly Clementine
The Viennese band My Ugly Clementine will release their album THE GOOD LIFE in August 2023. The indie rock group sings about female emancipation, equality and – as the name suggests – a good life. In October, Sophie Lindinger, Mira Lu Kovacs and Nastasja Ronck will perform live in six German cities – including Berlin, Hamburg and Wiesbaden.
October 19th: Scrap Border live in Berlin
The indie rock band Schrott Grenz is coming to the Badehaus Berlin on October 19th. Her tenth album THE UNIVERSUM IS NOT BINARY was released in January 2023 and marked the conclusion of her “queer album trilogy”. This was preceded by her 2017 record GLITZER ON CONCRETE and ALLES ZERPFLÜCKEN from 2019.
October 4th to 15th: Ski Aggu
Ski Aggu will be going on a “campaign tour” in the coming months. But instead of politics, you can probably expect more party tracks from the rapper with a mullet and ski goggles. Since his 2022 hit “Party Creme”, the Wilmersdorfer has been an integral part of the scene. In the summer of 2023 he most recently delivered a huge catchy tune with “Friesenjung” in collaboration with Otto Waalkes. Since then, Ski Aggu has been everywhere – in features, talk shows and on tour. In October you can experience the musician’s (elective) program live in five German cities.
October 1st: The National live in Munich
Some well-known names appeared on The National’s album FIRST TWO PAGES OF FRANKENSTEIN, which was released in April 2023. Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers and Sufjan Stevens provided features on the record. Although the indie rock band is alone on stage on their tour, you can still expect a lot from their performance on October 1st at Munich’s Zenith.
October 1st to 14th: The Doctors
Die Ärzte will also be playing a few concerts on their “Autumn of Life” club tour in October. As always with an ironic undertone, the Berliners promote their performances with the promise “better than on record”. However, the shows “this time without dogs and horses”. But that’s not necessary for the trio’s concerts to last up to three hours. You can experience the trio live in Bielefeld, Hamburg, Saarbrücken and Leipzig.
October 23rd: Röyksopp live in Cologne
Röyksopp are coming to Germany for a date on their “True Electric” European tour. The Norwegian duo will perform at the Cologne Palladium on October 23rd. In 2022, Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland released the album trilogy PROFOUND MYSTERIES I-III after an eight-year break. The Scandinavians wanted to “capture the sound of the world and the future,” as they describe it.
October 4th to 7th: Lauv
Lauv’s hit “I Like Me Better” has over a billion Spotify streams. His current album ALL 4 NOTHING has been enjoying success since its release in August 2022. Now the American pop artist is coming to Germany for three dates on his “The Between Albums Tour”. On October 4th you can see the musician in Hamburg, two days later Lauv will come to the Berlin Tempodrom to play his last concert in Germany on October 7th in Cologne.
October 25th to 27th: Alice Phoebe Lou
Grew up in Cape Town, discovered as a street musician in Berlin and is now on the stages of Germany. Alice Phoebe Lou is an indie singer and songwriter living in Berlin. Her current album SHELTER was released in July 2023 and marked her fifth work. Now you can experience the musician live in Cologne, Frankfurt and Munich from October 25th to 27th.
