From May 21, no mouth caps are needed at Schiphol anymore

From next Saturday, May 21, a mouth cap will no longer be worn at Schiphol. This is announced by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. Travelers now have to wear a mask from the moment they scan their boarding pass to the plane. The European aviation authority EASA has relaxed the corona rules for all member states.

Passengers and crew members no longer have to wear masks on board Dutch airlines. KLM, Transavia, TUI and Corendon had the mouth cap rule two months ago already abolishedagainst government guidelines.

The airlines were afraid of more aggression on board, because masks no longer had to be worn anywhere in the rest of the country.

Weaker health

The ministry advises travelers in poorer health to still wear a mask at airports and on planes.
