From iliad 10 scholarships for university students – iodonna

un important project, which will continue for 10 years, to contribute to the training of young people and therefore to the growth of the country. It is iliadship: 10 scholarships awarded each year, for a value of 15 thousand euros each, accompanied by a rich program of tutoring and mentorship, which helps young people to orient themselves in view of entering the world of work. Applications are open online until 30 September. Students (up to 24 years old) who enroll for the first time in a master’s degree program in 2023/24 can apply o those enrolled in the fourth year of a single-cycle master’s degree course, again for 2023/24.

Students at a university lecture. Iliad’s Iliadship project provides 10 scholarships a year for 15 students.

We ask Michele Rillo, Chief of Staff and External Affairs Director of iliad Italia to explain how the project works. First of all, given the novelty and importance of the project, also in terms of investment, Rillo is keen to underline how «an impact assessment will be carried out in five years, to assess the trend and possible developments of iliadship».

The selection criteria, he explains, focus on merit: «To access, you must have had a weighted average of 26/30 during the three-year degree course and, for single-cycle students, also have obtained 90% of the required training credits . But it is important to say that the call, from an inclusive point of view, helps those with low incomes, with a facilitation in the score”.

The iliad project requires commitment and perseverance

There are 6 places available for students in the STEM areas and two each for the Social Sciences and Arts & Literature areas. To underline that the 15 thousand euros will be donated in three tranches: the first within six months of the start of the master’s degree courses, the second at the beginning of the second year – after having achieved 80 credits for certain and an average of 26/30 – and the last after graduation, for which a minimum score of 105/110 is required, which will be concluded within the scheduled time and after having participated in the iliiadship programs. In short, earning a scholarship is not enough; you need to be able to keep it. It takes commitment, perseverance.

In addition to funding for studies, there is a rich educational offer: each student will be supported by an iliad tutor and a mentor, a member of the Advisory Board who will support him in a path of development and individual orientation. Furthermore, the winner will be able to participate in thematic workshops and an extra-curricular internship at iliad or one of the project’s partner companies, in order to approach the job market. «We are receiving many applications, from girls and boys, from all over Italy. A transversal participation that makes us very happy», concludes Michele Rillo.
