The Dutchman, who also won a Roubaix, won in the third stage of the international competition, guaranteeing himself the opportunity to participate in the world championship at the end of the year.
From triumphs on the cobblestones to a historic success at the Gravel World Series. Niki Terpstra changed the type of competition for a day, but she has not lost the desire to win. The Dutchman, king of Paris-Roubaix in 2014 as lieutenant of Tom Boonen and of the Tour of Flanders four years later, took away the satisfaction of leaving his mark also in the new event organized by the UCI for gravel bikes. He is the first professional cyclist capable of winning at least one Monument to triumph in this new world as well.

Terpstra has decided to participate in the Wish One Gravel Race, the third stage of the calendar based in Millau, France. The 38-year-old Dutchman, under contract with TotalEnergies, won the victory in the category reserved for men over a course of 130 km. Overcoming a varied competition, capable of ranging from cross riders to more trained enthusiasts, determined to challenge the protagonists of professional cycling, Niki stopped the clock on a time of 4h25’06 ”. Behind him were Piotr Havik, behind by 1’50 “, and Adam Blazevic, at 3’18”.
SATISFACTION
–
At the end of the race, Terpstra showed all his happiness for the success. On social media she posted a smiling photo during the race, saying she was very happy for the victory. A special triumph because the regulations of the Gravel World Series entitle 25% of the best riders of each of the twelve stages to the World Championship at the end of the year. Niki will therefore have the opportunity to play for the world title. A decidedly tempting opportunity to make a further mark.
