From Bos en Lommer to the world stage: Kherrazi also opts for 3×3 basketball

This weekend the World Tour circus in 3×3 basketball descended on Amsterdam. “I grew up in Bos en Lommer and now I am standing here in a magical stadium. This is simply inhuman,” says basketball player Mohammed Kherrazi enthusiastically.

About 2,000 daily visitors were amazed on Friday and Saturday. 3×3 basketball is growing enormously in popularity and is now an Olympic sport. Kherrazi made the switch at the end of September. “3×3 basketball is on the rise. Attractive and fast and also in the Gashouder. Who wouldn’t want that?”

So the Amsterdammer was still looking for a team. Team Antwerp provided a solution. “We were urgently looking for a player due to some injuries. I came up with the idea of trying Mohammed,” says Jonas Foerts.

Quick decision

Kherrazi didn’t have to think long and he will be a player for Team Antwerp for next season. This weekend he took action in front of his home crowd. “That caused some nerves. I had to show who I am in my backyard.”

NH Sport was present on Saturday and followed the Amsterdam basketball player.
