Around noon, six secondary schools at Het Hooghuis in Oss and Heesch were evacuated after a bomb threat. Students and teachers were asked to leave the building via the intercom. The students were shocked when they realized it was a bomb threat.

“At first I thought it was an exercise, but it soon became clear that it was serious,” says Lise. “When we heard there was a bomb threat, there was a little bit of panic.”

“I was quite shocked.”

The students had to get their things from the lockers and leave the building as quickly as possible. “But it didn’t really happen very quickly,” says another student. “There was a lot of traffic on the stairs and it was also very busy at the lockers.”

Once outside, the students really felt safe. But Lise was still scared. “I was quite shocked. I was scared.”

It was later revealed that the report was a false alarm. “I don’t understand why someone makes such a report,” says Lise. Another student is not concerned about it. “I’m nice and free now, so it doesn’t matter to me.”
