Today she was brought before the investigating judge in Dendermonde. She was arrested and charged, but it is not yet known for which charges. “My client wishes to emphasize that she will continue to cooperate fully with the investigation and places her confidence in the pending legal proceedings. She hopes that for the further course of the investigation she can count on objective reporting with respect for the fundamental principles that underlie our constitutional state,” her lawyer said in a statement to Het Nieuwsblad. The lawyer could not be reached for comment and the public prosecutor would not confirm the arrest.
