Friedrichshafen is again in the final

Volleyball record champion VfB Friedrichshafen is again in the final of the German championship.

The team of head coach Mark Lebedew won 3:2 (20:25, 25:20, 25:22, 28:30, 19:17) against the SWD Powervolleys Düren on Wednesday evening and thus also decided the third semi-final game of the best-of -five series in the Bundesliga for themselves.

In the second semi-final, defending champion Berlin Recycling Volley has a 2-1 lead against United Volleys Frankfurt. The series champion from the capital, who has won the title eleven times, confidently won the third game 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-22). The fourth encounter is scheduled for Saturday (7:00 p.m.).

Friedrichshafen has been waiting for the 14th championship since 2015. Since then, the cup winner has always lost the last five finals against the title rival from Berlin. No title was awarded in 2020 due to the pandemic.
