Marjukka Erkkilä, 59, was received with open arms at an environmental movement.
Yle
Marjukka Erkkilä, 59, is a rebellion. Before he joined Elokapina, he publicly announced his intentions on his Facebook account. He received ample comments from his friends.
– How are you thinking of getting up from that street? Among other things, Marjuka was asked.
– That’s what I want to see when you lyllerrätte upright, in a less flattering way.
Disbelief did not cause the former punk to change his mind like he did Maiju Talalan directed by the Friday Dock Rebellion Grandma says.
– I just put back that we have chairs!
As it is. When Marjukka goes to the Elokapina demonstration for the first time in front of the Parliament House with her daughter Aino Pajalan with, he has a kitchen chair in his armpit. He is welcomed wherever the younger ones are.
Prior to the demonstration, Marjukka has participated in a civil disobedience training organized by Elokapina, which can be followed in the documentary. And even earlier, he has read the Elokapina message carefully.
– I have never seen anything barking as terribly as sitting in front of cars on Elokapina’s Mannerheimintie. It was so outrageous that I had to find out what Marjukka is in the short documentary.
He found himself able to sign all the ideas of the environmental movement.
– I agree that if climate change is not addressed quickly, it is no longer possible for my grandchildren to ever live well.
Marjukka is a mother of three who would already love grandchildren. So far, however, the hopes have not materialized.
– If my children consciously decide that they do not want children because the world is such a threatening place or climate change is affecting so much, grief will be overwhelming, Marjukka predicts.
