Frida Karlsson is not too worried about the terrorist threat, because in her opinion the ski crowd moves in small shitty places, like Ruka.

Sweden’s star skier Frida Karlsson shocked when two Swedish soccer fans were shot dead in Brussels last week.

– Of course it’s horrible. It’s terrible to be shot while cheering for your own team and country, Karlsson said for SVT.

Swedish football fans were dressed in yellow and blue jerseys before the European Championship qualifying game between Sweden and Belgium. At that time, a terrorist was rampaging in Brussels who wanted to kill Swedes.

According to Karlsson, the Swedish national skiing team has also reacted to what happened. For example, security measures have been tightened. He’s not too worried though.

– Of course, what happened is horrible. However, we travel to places like Ruka and Livigno. They’re little crappy places that might not be the worst targets for terrorist attacks. In that way, this feels a little safer, Karlsson commented.

The cross-country skiing world cup starts in Ruka on November 24-26.
