– We have broken up, but we are still really good friends, Frida Karlsson23, says Expressenfor the magazine.
The woman was dating William Poromaan, 22, with Sweden’s second star skier for a long time. The couple got hitched already in high school.
The superstar couple lived for a long time in Sollefteå, where they had bought a home together. This spring, Karlsson and Poromaa moved to different addresses after skiing, when Karlsson headed to Östersund and Poromaa to Sundsvall.
– It may be difficult for others to understand this, but right now skiing is the most important thing for both of us. We have to do what we feel is best, says Karlsson.
– Willie thinks it is best for him to be in Sundsvall, where his coach is Lars Ljung is near. I think the best conditions for me are in Östersund and Sollefteå, Karlsson continues.
Karlsson returned home from the World Championships with four medals. Even in Poromaa’s suitcase, one prize medal was found, when he grabbed a bronze medal in the final leg of the Games.
The medal was the first of Poromaa’s career at the World Cup level. Karlsson already has ten MM plaques.
