After the hottest day of the year so far in Berlin and Brandenburg, temperatures between 27 and 30 degrees are expected on Sunday.
On Saturday, a maximum temperature of 35.5 degrees was measured in Berlin-Tempelhof and even 36.9 degrees in Lübben in the Spreewald in Brandenburg, the German Weather Service (DWD) reported on Sunday.
At the Sunday sun and clouds will alternate from midday and it will remain dry. The wind is getting stronger as the day progresses, in northern Brandenburg it can get gusty at times. In the evening the wind gradually decreases.
In the night to Monday it will be cloudy and dry with temperatures between 16 and 12 degrees. On Monday it will often be sunny despite cumulus clouds. In some places in the north of the region it may rain like showers or there may be brief thunderstorms.
According to the DWD, it will remain mostly dry. The maximum values are between 26 and 30 degrees, in Berlin around 28 degrees. A fresh wind is blowing from the southwest, with local gusts of wind.
In the night to Tuesday the temperatures drop to 15 to 12 degrees. Tuesday will be friendly again and often cloudy with maximum temperatures around 25 degrees.
