Werder has struck again on the transfer market and signed French midfielder Skelly Alvero. The club confirmed this on Wednesday.
Werder Bremen has another new signing. After the transfer of defender Julian Malatini, the Green-Whites have signed 21-year-old Frenchman Skelly Alvero on loan. The club confirmed this on Wednesday. The “Bild” newspaper and the “Deichstube” had previously reported on the change.
The 2.02 meter tall midfielder comes from Olympique Lyon and completed the mandatory medical check in Bremen on Wednesday before the contract signing with Werder was completed. Alvero was loaned from Lyon, but Werder is said to have a purchase option, which, according to the French newspaper “L’Equipe”, should amount to four to five million euros. Alvero played eight games for Lyon this season and scored one goal.
