The British clothing company French Connection Group Ltd. has to plan without his longtime Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Lee Williams: The experienced financial expert is moving to Seraphine Group plc. Seraphine announced on Wednesday that he will join the company, which specializes in maternity wear, in the first half of next year as CFO and Executive Director.
Lee took over the position of CFO at French Connection in early 2016. Prior to that, he was Group Director of Finance at the online fashion retailer Asos plc, where he also temporarily acted as interim CFO.
“I am delighted to welcome Lee to the team on behalf of the company,” said David Williams, Seraphine CEO, in a press release. “Lee is a strong commercial and strategic CFO who has gained experience in both emerging and established companies.” In light of Seraphine’s IPO in July, David Williams specifically highlighted the “fresh experiences” of the CFO-designate in listed companies. “I look forward to working with him and the management team to implement the next phase of Seraphine’s growth strategy,” said the CEO.
