In return, the Unioner increased again and, thanks to Christopher Trimmel, made it 2-0 (30th) in the Europa-Park stadium. Christian Streich seemed tense and tried to whip his team forward. Bayer was only able to equalize again in the second half through Moussa Diaby to make it 2-2 (73rd). A little later, Bayer took the lead 3-2 (76th) through Schick’s second goal, shortly before the end Alario increased to a 4-2 win for Bayer and will now play in the premier class next season.
Dortmund wins against Fürth – Wolfsburg wins against Cologne
Borussia Dortmund achieved a win against Fürth, as was to be expected. BVB won against the bottom of the table in an insignificant 3:1. Julian Brandt made it 1-0 for BVB in the 26th minute, Fürth made it 1-1 in the second half through Jessic Ngankam (70′). And VfL Wolfsburg also defeated 1. FC Köln in their own stadium 1-0 (43rd) through a goal by Yannick Gerhardt. Despite the defeat, Cologne will be represented in Europe next season.
