SC Freiburg’s second team continues to be at the top of the 3rd football league.
The team from Breisgau won 3-0 (1-0) at Viktoria Köln on Monday evening and thus secured second place (48 points) behind the surprise leaders SV Elversberg (57). However, as the second representative of a Bundesliga club, the team cannot be promoted to the 2nd division.
The Cologne team (32), on the other hand, are stuck in no man’s land in the table in eleventh place. In autumn, Viktoria was still close to being promoted, but the team from the right bank of the Rhine only managed one win in the past seven league games.
Julian Guttau (38th), Philipp Treu (59th) and Vincent Vermeij (80th) scored the 14th win for Freiburg on matchday 24, which could have been even better.
