Freestyle Wrestling National Team becomes European champion after 31 years – Last minute Wrestling news



According to the statement of the Turkish Wrestling Federation, the freestyle competitions at the European Wrestling Championship held in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, have ended.

The Crescent and Stars team, which won 2 gold, silver and bronze medals each in the organization, were at the top of the team rankings, ahead of Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Thus, Turkey won the freestyle team championship for the first time since the 1993 European Championship hosted in Istanbul.

Feyzullah Aktürk (92 kilos) and Taha Akgül (125 kilos) won gold medals, Muhammet Karavuş (57 kilos) and Soner Demirtaş (74 kilos) won silver, and Osman Göçen (86 kilos) and İbrahim Çiftçi (97 kilos) won bronze medals.
