Fortuna Düsseldorf has opened the application phase for free tickets to the games of its professional football players. First it’s the members’ turn, then anyone interested in football can inquire.
The so far unique ticket concept has been launched: At Fortuna Dusseldorf Football enthusiasts can apply for free tickets for the first game as part of the “Fortuna for All” project. The second division game against 1.FC Kaiserslautern (October 21st, 8:30 p.m.) will kick things off.
The concept should make it possible for anyone interested to watch Fortuna games in the stadium for free – regardless of whether they are a member, season ticket holder, fan or just curious person. In the current 2023/24 season, a total of three games are planned for free attendance. This is followed by the games against FC St. Pauli (January 27, 2024) and against Eintracht Braunschweig (April 6, 2024).
After a successful pilot phase, the club’s goal is to provide free entry to all home league games. This should be made possible through sponsorship income.
First the members
Fortuna members can submit their ticket requests via an online account from Monday (September 18, 2023). Two days later, on Wednesday, anyone who would like to attend the game against the traditional Palatinate club can register their ticket requests (maximum five tickets) online.
In the final step of the order, fans confirm that they have understood the fair play rules. This means that only the number of tickets that the person actually needs is requested. Or that only one person in the group makes a request.
Secondary market opens
Applications will be collected electronically until October 3rd. On October 10th and 11th, each applicant will be informed by email whether the request was successful.
But if someone doesn’t get the contract in the first step, there is another option. On a secondary market (opening: October 11th to 20th) Those who have received tickets but cannot go to the game should make their tickets available.
