To be able to participate in secondary education, a mobile phone is not a superfluous luxury. But not all parents can afford such a device for their offspring. Thanks to Stichting Leergeld, about seventy children from poor Emmer families will be going to primary school with a brand new mobile phone next school year.
Danny van Wieren of Telecombination Van Wieren is collaborating with T-Mobile in the Leergeld Emmen campaign. First graders from families with little money could pick up their phone from the company on Monday.
