Frederic Wandres gets the first German victory at the CHIO

Frederic Wandres (Hagen aTW) started again as the best German rider in dressage at the CHIO Aachen.

In the Prix St. Georges, the German runner-up, after first place last year, first rode to second place with Quizmaster. The three-time Olympic champion Charlotte Dujardin (Great Britain) won with Times Kismet. Riding icon Isabell Werth came sixth with Zeffirelli.

Wandres then secured the first German victory of the week. In the four-star Grand Prix he won with his stallion Duke of Britain ahead of world champion Charlotte Fry from Great Britain.

On Thursday, the 36-year-old will be riding in the team for the Nations Cup together with Werth, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Sönke Rothenberger.

The Prix St. Georges is the dressage test with the lowest level of difficulty at the CHIO, many top riders compete there with their young horses in particular.

Even in tests at four-star level, many riders do not present their top horses.
