Former Real Madrid midfielder, Colombian footballer Freddy Rincon is dead.
Rincon was involved in a car accident on Monday morning in his home country.
Rincon, who collided with the bus, was seriously injured in the accident. He was diagnosed with several head injuries and was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The Colombian fought for nearly two days, but he died late Tuesday night at the age of 55.
Rincon played 84 national matches in his career, scoring 17 goals. During his nearly 20-year career, he represented club teams in both Europe and South America.
Rincon performed in Naples from 1994 to 1995 and in Real Madrid from 1995 to 1997.

Marca says Rincon himself was not driving a vehicle that had crashed with a bus, but his half-brother was sitting behind the wheel.
