“Fratelli Caputo”, who they are
Who are the Caputo brothers? They are called Nino and Alberto are both sons of Calogero Caputo, and are the protagonists of the homonymous series of Canale 5 produced by Ciao Ragazzi! by Claudia Mori. Nino, played by Nino Frassica, is the elder of the two, is a sui generis artist and is also the most unfortunate: mother Agata (Aurora Quattrocchi) raised him alone after her father left her for another woman. Franca, the other woman, known by her father Calogero in Milan is the mother of Rocco, to whom Cesare Bocci gives his face. Rocco is the lucky son, the one who grew up with his father, who graduated, got married and is a happy father of three children: Andrea (Riccardo De Rinaldis), Barbara (Giorgio Boni) and Giacomo (Riccardo Antonaci).

The plot
The paths of the two Caputo brothers cross for the first time when Alberto, an aspiring parliamentarian, decides to start his political career by running for mayor of Roccatella, the father’s imaginary country of origin. At the suggestion of mother Agata, still resentful towards the deceased Calogero, Nino is also a candidate to become the first citizen of Roccatella. From there a long sequence of situations begins, starting with the unexpected transfer of his wife Patrizia (Sara D’Amario) and Alberto’s younger children, Barbara and Giacomo to the same house where Nino and his mother also live. Alberto wins the elections. But this is only the beginning of the story.
Red Canzian, tonight’s guest star of “Fratelli Caputo”
Guest star of the second episode of Caputo brothers is Red Canzian. The bass player of the former Pooh will be at the center of the events in Roccatella where, to repair the cracked roof of a school, a charity evening is organized. Nino proposes the name of Red Canzian boasting the knowledge of him. The former Pooh, however, is by pure chance in the vicinity of Roccatella. So Nino, pushed by his sister-in-law Patrizia, must be able to involve him even though he doesn’t know him at all.

The set of the imaginary town of Roccatella, however, is not in Sicily. To frame a Caputo brothers were some glimpses of the Apulian Nardò and Ostuni. The miniseries, in fact, was shot in the Tacco d’Italia with the support of the Apulia Film Commission. Caputo brothers it is just one of the many sets that, for not having another setting, have found hospitality in Puglia. Among these is, for example, Commissioner Ricciardi with Taranto and its province that have been chosen for the main scenes both for the first and for the second series that is scheduled for the next season of Raiuno.
