Frasers Group increases stake in Boohoo

The British retail group Frasers Group Plc has once again expanded its minority stake in the clothing supplier Boohoo Group Plc.

On Monday, Boohoo said the parent company of brands such as Sports Direct, House of Fraser and Flannels had increased its stake from 16.5 to around 17.2 percent through further share purchases in recent days. Frasers acquired a five percent stake in Boohoo in June and has gradually acquired additional shares since then.

The group, which says it is still interested in taking over the insolvent SportScheck retail chain, also has a stake in well-known clothing suppliers such as Hugo Boss, Asos and N Brown. However, the Frasers Group recently sold the trademark rights of the British fast fashion label Missguided to the textile retailer Shein.
