FC Volendam has found a new business director. Frans ten Berge thus becomes a member of the management of the football club. The 50-year-old Amsterdammer has never worked for a professional football organization before.
“It is unique what has been achieved here in the football technical field in the past three years,” says Ten Berge on the FC Volendam website. “Football is therefore number one at FC Volendam. It is up to me to organize the facilitating body within the club, namely the workplace and the volunteers, in such a way that we take the next step in even more professionalism. I am proud that I I can contribute to this process for this beautiful and growing club from my expertise.”

Chairman Jan Smit: “I know Frans as a strong director and a nice person. In the time that I was active for C&A, we achieved good results. The image of the brand then received a huge boost, Frans told me. In the search Frans was at the top of the list when it came to filling the position of business director. I am convinced that he is the right man in the right place.”

Ten Berge previously worked for retail chain C&A. First as commercial director and later as member of the board of directors of Europe. He is also co-owner of Beekman Group, a manufacturer of workwear. Ten Berge takes up the position of business director at FC Volendam over from Richard de Weijze. De Marker will step down from the Board of Directors on 1 February The New Orange.
After the arrival of Ten Berge, the management of FC Volendam consists of technical director Jasper van Leeuwen, director of training and collaborations Ruben Jongkind and commercial director Jan-Bas Veltman.
