He is one of the best folk singers in our country: Frans Duijts. At least, that’s what he thinks. The man known for boasting terribly expensive cars believes he belongs to the top and that is why he would like to enter into musical collaborations with the top. He has submitted a request for a musical duet with Anouk.

Anouk doesn’t want to

If Frans has his way, a single will be released this year on which he sings together with the Hague singer. “This may sound strange, but I would really like to record with Anouk. In the genre of her single Dominique. I’ve been saying that for years. I already let her record company know once. That seems really crazy to me,” he says Story.

Unfortunately for Frans, he hasn’t heard anything from her record company, and Anouk doesn’t really seem to want it either. For the time being, he has to sing his trucker music alone.

Sports cars

Fortunately, Frans is not affected financially, because he is extremely wealthy, partly thanks to his father’s inheritance. And he uses all that money to fund his fleet. The singer is crazy about showing off expensive cars and receives a lot of criticism for this. “I like to show it off when I buy such a cool container. My intention is not to show off.”

When it comes to expensive cars, according to the singer, we can learn something from abroad. “If you arrive abroad at a company in an old box, they won’t even let you in. Then they think you are not successful. If you show up in an expensive car, they see you as successful.”

Slob

They’d rather see you driving around in a slob here in the Netherlands, Frans complains. “In the Netherlands, on the other hand, you can get everything done just fine with an older car. If you arrive with a nice shiny car, they think you have it too good.”

“I work hard for it. And if people don’t like it, that’s fine too.”
