Went to Sweden in January

According to a report, Eintracht Frankfurt is interested in Finnish midfield talent Matias Siltanen (18), who has been active in the Swedish league since this year. Last year, Transfermarkt dedicated a portrait to the young professional, who already plays in his home country’s U21 team, in the TM talent calendar. He made his debut in the Finnish league at the age of 15 with his club Kuopion Palloseura.
As the “Picture“-Zeitung now reported that Eintracht Frankfurt had already held initial discussions with the player side. The SGE would probably be competing with Bayer Leverkusen, which had only been linked to Siltanen a few days ago (as per a rumor). Last year it was Juventus Turin who were said to be interested in the talent. Siltanen’s path from Finland did not lead to Italy, but to a transfer fee worth millions Djurgårdens IF. Even now, going to Series A is still a very possible option.
Siltanen is currently estimated to have a market value of one million euros. The valuation in Finland rose massively in the summer of 2024, but was only raised slightly after the lack of a move to one of the big leagues. However, with a contract valid until the end of 2027, the player’s Swedish club does not have to be shy when it comes to pricing. According to reports, Djurgården is currently considering a price of no less than 15 million euros – possibly as early as next winter. The Swedish league season ends in November.
