Frankfurt/Main (AP) – Goalkeeper Kevin Trapp has returned to training with Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt. The Hessians announced this.
The 31-year-old injured his wrist in the 3-2 win at FC Barcelona and had to sit out the Bundesliga game at 1. FC Union Berlin (0-2). The injury came from a penalty kick from Memphis Depay, which he was unable to deflect decisively enough.
Frankfurt continues on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky) in the Bundesliga against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The far more important games then take place in the semi-finals of the Europa League: there they face West Ham United on April 28 and May 5. Possible final opponents on May 18 in Seville would be league rivals RB Leipzig or Glasgow Rangers.
