Despite the heat, many Eintracht fans hardly had anything to drink at the final in Seville. There were complaints on social media that drinks sold out shortly after kick-off.
Eintracht Frankfurt fans have complained about closed drink stands during the Europa League final in Seville against Glasgow Rangers. TV expert Ralph Gunesch, who now works as a coach for Eintracht, tweeted that part of the upper tier shared two stands before the game. “Since the kick-off there has only been 1 stand with only beer (a six-pack of water arrives every 10 minutes),” added the ex-professional.
Our reporter Lars Wienand, who reported from the stadium for t-online, was also appalled. “There is NOTHING left to drink at the Eintracht-Turn.” An hour and a half before the start of the game there was no more water and no soft drinks. Beer had been decanted from cans and mugs. It was also a particularly hot day.
