Frank Ocean: BLONDE cover hangs at the Museum of Modern Art in New York

The cover of Frank Ocean’s BLONDE has been hanging in the Museum of Modern Art in New York for a good month now, since September 12th. It will be hanging there until January 1st, 2023 as part of an exhibition by Wolfgang Tillmans.

The exhibition “To look without fear” invites you to see through the eyes of the photographer and how it feels for him to live in today’s world. The exhibition will then be shown in Ontario and San Francisco.

To celebrate the album’s sixth anniversary, MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) posted a post on Instagram on August 20th.

The American singer’s second album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart and has been a part of it for 298 weeks. It was included in several magazines’ albums of 2016. It peaked at number 2 on The Guardian’s list of the 40 best albums of the year. It reached number 5 on Rolling Stone in the US. In 2020 it was voted number 79 on the list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. With a total of 17 songs over a length of 60:08 minutes, it combines R&B, progressive soul and psychedelic pop.
