Frank Lammers under fire for supporting Peter Gillis: ‘Incomprehensible’

Frank Lammers is heavily criticized by Angela de Jong because he just stays on as a voice-over for the Peter Gillis show on SBS 6. “It is incomprehensible, but it will pay well.”

According to Angela de Jong, it is impossible that Peter Gillis simply retains his prominent place in the programming of SBS 6. Family Gillis: Massa is Kassa was also on the channel yesterday. 680,000 people watched it, making the program the most watched alternative to the ratings winner De Slimste Mens.

Disrespectful

Angela calls Peter a “holiday park bully.” She is amazed that he is still on television. “While he is suspected of subversive crime by the Tax and Customs Administration, the judiciary and municipalities,” she writes today in her influential AD column.

Of course there is also the alleged abuse of his girlfriend Nicol, but according to Angela that is not the only thing. “Apart from that, he is extremely unpleasant to look at, because of his appearance and the completely disrespectful way he treats people.”

Criticism of Frank

Peter and Nicol behave ‘jerky’ and show ‘proletarian behavior’, says Angela. She mentions a number of shocking examples in her column. “In 2023, no normal channel would think about broadcasting this like this. But SBS 6 just does it.”

Angela is perhaps most disappointed that the well-known voice-over does not leave and continues to support Peter indirectly. “That someone like Frank Lammers still lends his voice to this reality series is incomprehensible. But, like everything at John de Mol, it will definitely pay well.”

Immoral mess

One thing is certain: it is probably a blessing in disguise for RTL that the acquisition of Talpa has been rejected, according to Angela.

She concludes: “Peter van der Vorst and the rest of RTL should thank heaven on their bare knees that they have nothing to do with this immoral mess.”
