Frank Lammers has landed a role in a new TV series. It concerns the Videoland series about Queen Maxima. Lammers plays journalist Willibrord Frequin, who died in 2022.
Maxima is a six-part TV series about the life of the queen. It is a film adaptation of a book by journalist Marcia Luyten and is, among other things, about Maxima’s time in Argentina.
It is not known how big Lammers’ role is. It may be about a moment in 2000 when Frequin waited for her with photographer Peter Smulders and offered her flowers, after which they chased her.
Frequin later called it a terrible mistake in an interview with De Telegraaf. “We were hit by a car behind her. Very hard. Irresponsibly hard. We both almost veered near the airport. We know how things turned out for Diana. I am not proud of that.”
The Máxima series can be seen from April 20.
