The fallen reality star Frank Jansen (76) wants to use the successful Omroep MAX boss Jan Slagter (68) for a return to television. “That seems like a damn nice guy!”
After an open application from Rob Geus, Jan Slagter has already said that Omroep MAX ‘is not a shelter for pathetic hedgehogs’, but the fallen reality star Frank Jansen does not care about that. The interior stylist, who is divorced from Rogier Smit, tries to get a foot in the door at MAX by getting a white footing with Jan.
Frank vs Tina
Frank hands out all kinds of compliments to Jan in an interview with Weekend. “I don’t know that man, but he seems like a damn nice guy. I wrote a very nice format and that would suit him very well.”
It is to be hoped that Jan will then be able to separate him from Rogier, Frank continues. He compares himself to Tina Turner in that regard. “That Mrs. Turner was with Ike. Everyone is always talking about Ike & Tina Turner. She never broke away from being with Ike. That is actually exactly the same with me and Rogier in the TV world.”
“What about Roger?”
Frank is very upset about that. “I’ve been trying to make television on my own for two years now, just having fun, with fun programs. But with every channel it is: ‘What do we do with Rogier then?’ No, there is no Roger! So weird.”
Frank and Rogier are now divorced and Frank also hopes to get rid of his hysterical ex with his own program. “What will the format be? That is none of your business!”
‘John can call’
Only Jan Slagter should know that, according to Frank. “He can call me. Naturally. Look, I am of course not 20 anymore and Omroep MAX makes programs for the older viewer. And that’s very smart of him, because that older viewer is still a TV viewer.”
Will Frank now become a kind of Henny Huisman who calls out every Tuesday that he wants to go back on TV? “You know what’s fun about making TV? Entertaining. I am an entertainer through and through. I also do that here in my house when there are guests, I love it.”
