Frank Dane doesn’t think it’s fair that Hélène Hendriks lets her own editors of HLF8 fall so hard on live television. “She could have stood up for the editors, huh?”
Hélène Hendriks sat at the table at Today Inside on Friday evening where she listened remarkably resigned to how Johan Derksen completely razed her talk show HLF8 (see fragment below). He shares Angela de Jong’s criticism that it is distasteful that the sister of the murdered boy Gino (9) sat at the table there this week.
Johan attacks Hélène
According to Johan, it is ‘incomprehensible’ that Hélène has accepted this. “You shouldn’t take advantage of emo TV ratings. I thought it was really outrageous, but I think your whole program is outrageous.”
Hélène hinted that she would rather not have the sister in question at the table herself. “I have to be honest: I came to the editorial office, I heard she was coming and she was already in the car from Maastricht to Amsterdam. That’s about three hours with the traffic jams added. Then you can’t say, “Well, turn around again.” But I found it very difficult.”
Hélène also agreed with the criticism of the C guests in HLF8, such as Ferry Doedens.
Frank Dane critical
RTL Boulevard presenter Frank Dane does not think it is very chic that Hélène completely went along with Johan’s scathing words and did not stand up for her own editors for a moment. In fact, she dropped it herself. “Maybe she could have stood up for the editors, huh?”
Colleague Daan Nieber agrees. “Yes, I think so too. I am very curious what the first editorial meeting at HLF8 will be like when she is there again, because you do expect that your presenter will stand up for you in this case.”
Pastry and flowers
Rob Goossens thinks that Hélène has a lot to do with her editorial team. “Yeah, well, she’ll be back on Monday I think, so I think she’s going to bring a lot of cakes and a lot of flowers to glue things up a bit. Maybe we should send Johan Remkes that way.”
Daan: “Talpa lets us know that it does not want to respond to Johan’s statements.”
