Frank Dane thinks Countess Eloise is a huge poser. He thinks it’s lame that she didn’t intervene in the protest against royalty reporter Eloise. “Really a bit mean.”
Jeroen Snel, the royalty reporter of RTL Boulevard, has been treated disproportionately harshly for his opinion of Countess Eloise. He thinks that the royal house is falling into disrepair when members of the family in swimsuits start participating in TV entertainment. However, critics believe that an elderly man should not say anything about the clothing of a young girl.
Pee about Jeroen
Frank Dane finds it very cheap that all those celebrities such as Chantal Janzen and Jan Versteegh tumbled over Jeroen with their bathing suit photo and witty hashtag. “How would it go with Jeroen Snel? Everyone fell over it. I was really surprised that everyone wanted to pee on it,” he says on Radio 538.
Sidekick Jelte van der Goot: “I liked it. I saw a lot of people in bathing suits give her some kind of support and stuff.”
Frank sarcastically: “Support?! Yes, she needs that, yes.”
Very hassle
Jelte supports the Jeroen critics. “If Prince Bernhard puts on diving goggles or does something really strange, you don’t hear anyone about it. It’s also a bit because it’s a girl in a bathing suit.”
Newsreader Airen Mylene supports Frank. “I thought it was a lot of hassle. I thought it made a lot of sense over something very small. Everyone had to be in bathing suits everywhere. I thought: let it be nice.”
Frank: “I just think it’s a shame that he can’t just say that. Can he find that? That everyone then says about him: ‘He really shouldn’t say that.’ Can’t you just say whatever you want? Of course he can say that!”
Mean Eloise
Frank thinks it is silly that Eloise did not intervene in the storm of criticism that Jeroen received. “Then Eloise has to say: ‘It’s great that he thinks so, but I’m fine with it.’ It has been a bit mean of Eloise to then mention support and stuff on Instagram, like: ‘Luckily there are still people who support me’, and stuff.”
Eloise deliberately exaggerates it all a bit, he thinks. “John, don’t be silly! There is one person who thought you couldn’t wear it.”
Airen: “She is also constantly looking for attention, so I have the impression that she also cares a bit about it.”
