In the meantime, the unions have received an invitation from French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne. They are expected at her official residence early next week – “Monday or Tuesday” – for a meeting, according to Laurent Berger of the CFDT trade union. He will explain his proposal to appoint a mediator as a way out of the pension conflict.
