Francis van Broekhuizen was horribly slain by a viewer of Koffietijd. She replied to the gentleman in question and then immediately blocked it. “Disgusting.”
There is almost no TV program in which Francis van Broekhuizen has not yet appeared. She herself likes that very much, but there are also enough viewers to whom she causes some annoyance. The opera singer sometimes finds it very difficult to deal with that criticism, she says in conversation with The Telegraph.

Francis thinks that some viewers go really far. “Yeah, last week I had another guy on Facebook. I had been to Coffee Time to talk about the transition and then I shared it on my timeline. He shared that again with the text: can’t they pull that bitch through the toilet, disgusting! With those puke emoticons.”
And then? “I sent him a message. From dear mister hatseflats, why are you sharing from my timeline if you hate me so much? Do you understand that it hurts me when I read that?”
‘Bitch!’
The gentleman was not very impressed with Francis’ reaction. “Then I got back: yes that was also the intention bitch that you are hurt, because I find you to puke. But you can sing well! Haha, that’s it! Sometimes I know how to turn them around by talking to them, but I just blocked this one.”
Why can’t she just ignore that? “Yes, my wife doesn’t allow me to respond when I receive such messages, hahaha… But I would prefer to do that. I’m just a people pleaser, I somehow want everyone to like me.”
