Francis van Broekhuizen is annoyed by the criticism Henny Huisman has expressed on her. “He probably finds it difficult that new people are on TV a lot,” she sneezes.
Henny Huisman believes that new TV talents are always milked out at a very rapid pace. You have to be careful with those kinds of people, but according to the former television star, that doesn’t happen. “Nice characters that are discovered, such as Francis van Broekhuizen, are immediately seen everywhere. Britt Dekker same story”, he says.
Francis strikes back
What does Francis think of Henny’s criticism? She reacts slightly sore in the Weekend. “I understand that from him. He has had such a career, of course. He used to be the man on TV. With the Soundmixshow and you name it.”
The opera singer continues: “He is a bit older now and not so often on TV. Then he probably finds it difficult that new people are on TV a lot.”
Huge opportunity
Henny does have a point, doesn’t he? At one point Francis was really in every Dutch celebrity program. “Now it happened to me that the theaters were closed. That made performing in certain programs, including as a singer, an excellent opportunity. To keep busy and to earn money.”
Where did Francis suddenly come from? “Because I happened to get quite far in De Slimste Mens, I was suddenly asked for everything,” she explains. “You see that with all participants in that program.”
