Ducati Lenovo’s Italian motorcyclist Francesco Bagnaia finished first in the Austrian Grand Prix, the 10th leg of the MotoGP World Championship.
In the most important organization of motorcycle races, the 10th race of the season was held on the 4.3 kilometer Red Bull Track in Spielberg, over 28 laps.
Bagnaia in pole position saw the checkered flag in first place, achieving his 5th MotoGP win of the season and 16th of his career.
Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM team) crossed the finish line 5.1 seconds after Bagnaia, and Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46) was third, 7.7 seconds behind the leader.
Raising his score to 251, Bagnaia continued his leadership in the pilots’ classification. The defending champion Bagnaia was followed by Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac) with 189 points.
The 11th race of the season, the Catalonian Grand Prix, will be held on 3 September.
