C.hi sits in front of her and agrees to be interviewed, he knows he won’t have discounts. After all, if Francesca Fagnani wanted her program to be called Beasts he had his good reasons. Although she points out: “For me, being a beast is not an insult. The term has a thousand nuances and a broad semantic spectrumI consider someone (or someone) a beast with a character and a life out of the ordinary. Everyone is a beast in his own way and can be so in a positive or negative way ».
Beaststhree appointments a week
There will be 24, two for each of the new 12 episodes, women and men out of the ordinary who will undergo the questions focus Francesca Fagnani in the new season, starting tonight at 11.30 pm on Rai 2. This is the third in the Rai home, after the first four broadcast on Nove. The novelty is the three-weekly appointment (on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) which will go on for a month. And the toto-names has already begun which is valid both for knowing who will accept, and for knowing who will refuse to sit on the stool in front of the presenter.
Wanna Marchi and Eva Robin’s the first guests
What do you aim for in this new season of Beasts?
To continue with the mission that I have given myself with the program: to know and to make known better those who agree to be interviewed. Have fun and discover new aspects of known characters or introduce lesser known characters to the general public but with a story to tell. One above all Monica Counterfeit, a Bersagliere who suffered an attack in Afghanistan in which she lost a leg (it was 2012, ed) and after 4 years she won a medal at the Paralympics.
Who will you host in the first episodes?
The first to sit in front of me are Wanna Marchi and Eva Robin’s. In the second, however, the guests will be Nina Moric and Michele Bravi.
Do you accept self-candidatures for the stool in front of yours?
I’m always sorry to say no, but there are many people who propose but I don’t think they can sit on the stool. Even if in a broad sense of the term, the guest must be as identifying as possible. Let’s say that 80% of guests answer yes to my request, 20% are self-nominations that I share.
“I don’t compromise to have a guest”
Are there many characters who do not accept your invitation?
They are there and I don’t blame them. It is legitimate not to want to come, it is different if you come and then ask if you want to intervene.
Are we talking about Elettra Lamborghini?
Not just her. This year Massimo Ferrero after the interview began with “Cut this, cut this one”. I do not accept this: it is a bad habit that, fortunately, is gradually waning because whoever comes knows that I am not available. I don’t compromise to have a guest.
“I would like to interview Giorgia Meloni again”
Belva is a feminine noun which, however, is also used for the masculine gender. Your beasts are almost always women, why?
I really like to talk about strong women with character because I think they need to find more space in the media story.
In the male toto-names of this season the name of the leader of the Five Stars, Giuseppe Conte, is mentioned. He’ll come?
At the moment he has postponed, but he has not closed the interview. So I hope he comes.
Among the many “beasts” you have already hosted, which one would you like to return?
Giorgia Meloni.
What’s the first thing you would ask her?
I do not know. I should study, I never ask impromptu questions. Before an interview I study a lot, I split my hair in four. I try to know everything there is to know about my guest and then I build a different narrative path for each one.
Do you happen to be surprised and follow a different narrative path than what you imagined?
Mine are not thesis interviews, so I’m always happy to be taken elsewhere without giving up my questions. I think it’s good for the audience too.
“Female emancipation does not pass through a vowel”
The Honorable Giorgia Meloni has chosen to decline her office, “the Prime Minister”, to the male, creating a deluge of comments from those who make it a decisive question.
I find it all very ridiculous. I believe that women’s emancipation does not pass through a vowel but through concrete facts. Instead of sticking to the vowels, I would fight for equal wages and economic independence for women. In my inquiries many times I have found myself faced with women who could not help but suffer because they were not economically independent.
Equal opportunities, however, ended up at the bottom of the wording of the Ministry after Family and Birth.
I’m not a lover of lexical matters. In general I am not one to point the finger: I wait for the facts. If I then realize that there will be a retreat on rights and there will be a need to take a position, I will.
“I am still an aspiring beast”
Do you feel like a beast?
At the moment I am only an aspirant. To become one I miss a piece of life, I am still in athletic training.
What do you mean?
I am very interested in young people. But I realize that, apart from exceptional cases, you have to go on with age to have a richer life.
A few days ago the new minister Guido Crosetto, in a tweet in response to an investigation that concerned him published in a newspaper, wrote that “to be sure that civil and criminal convictions are the only method that directors, editors and journalists may understand, in the face of defamation ». Is it an attack on the freedom of the press?
The lawsuit is a tool made available by the law and there is little else to say: if things are not true and they are not corrected, you can sue. What I absolutely dislike is the threat of a lawsuit, it is a way of frightening that I do not agree with.
Have you often dealt with crime investigations, have you ever felt threatened?
More than anything else, I have experienced situations of intimidation. When the Casamonica people write to you: “Sooner or later you will die” or “Come here to clarify, I’m not threatening you” it is not that you are calm. This has not stopped me and will not stop me from continuing to investigate.
Speaking of investigations, you also took part as a host in an episode of Hyenas. How was the experience?
Beautiful, I love the work group led by Davide Parenti. I like him very much: he is a television craftsman, the first to enter and the last to leave.
