The French will go to the polls for the presidential election on Sunday. Twelve candidates compete for the presidency in the first round. Two of them then advance to the decisive second round on April 24. This is expected to be the current liberal pro-European president Macron and the right-wing nationalist Marine Le Pen, just like five years ago.
