The mood in French companies did not change in May. As in the previous month, the business climate was 106 points, the Insee statistics office announced on Tuesday in Paris. On average, economists had expected a slight slowdown to 105 points.
In detail, the mood developed differently. While it improved in services and retail, it deteriorated in manufacturing and construction. The business climate is still well above the long-term average of 100 points. (dpa)
