France and Serbia have secured the world title in 3×3 basketball.
At the World Championships in Antwerp, the French women’s basketball team won their first World Cup by beating Canada 16:13 in the final. In the men’s category, record world champion Serbia won 21:16 against Lithuania and celebrated its fifth title.
The German teams had already been eliminated in the round of 16. The women’s team, which traveled to Belgium as number one in the world as one of the favorites, had to admit defeat to eventual finalists Canada, while the men’s team ended against Latvia.
