The episode during the night in Melendugno, in the province of Lecce: no injuries, unknown perpetrators and nature of the act. The club statement: “Vile gesture”
Two shots fired in the middle of last night and addressed to the car of the coach of Francavilla Antonio Calabro. The bad episode took place between 3 and 4 in the morning of February 23 in Melendugno, a municipality in the province of Lecce where the 46-year-old lives: two shots, apparently shotgun pellets, hit the rear of the Audi A6 owned by the technician damaging the rear window. Calabro himself would have heard loud noises outside his home, however only in the morning would he have taken note of what happened, when he had gone to get the car. The investigations were initiated by the carabinieri of the local station helped by colleagues from Lecce: the police are allegedly looking for the images of the surveillance cameras in the area in order to acquire useful elements and shed light on the fact. At the moment the author and the nature of the gesture remain unknown.
