Franca Fendi, a descendant of the famous Italian fashion house, has died at the age of 87, reports WWD. Franca Fendi, together with her sisters Carla, Anna, Paola and Aida, was responsible for the continuous development and expansion of the fashion house.
Franca Fendi was responsible for the brand’s Rome operations until the company was sold to LVMH and the Prada Group in 1999. After the takeover, Franca Fendi no longer played a role in the company. Her sister Carla remained on the board as honorary chairwoman.
In 2018, the Fendi descendant captioned her life in her memoir "Be Con Me"which in German means as much as " You’re with me" means detained. In the book she describes both her personal life and her career.
