Foxes newcomer Robert Weber (37) had to vacate his apartment in Athens in just 40 minutes to get to his new club in Berlin on time. The Austrian has now also made a lightning move in Berlin.

Weber laughs: “I was only in the hotel for a week. Before the win against Melsungen I was able to move into my own apartment. I was told it was one of the fastest moves ever.”

Weber moves to Weißensee near the “Foxes Town” training camp (Sportforum Hohenschönhausen). Its two rooms are furnished. “I was told that Mijajlo Marsenic lives near me,” says the Foxes’ new right winger.

Weber’s wife Lisa and his son Lio (9) stay in Austria: “We live in Vorarlberg and my wife has just started a new job. But I hope you will come visit me in Berlin soon. We see each other on Skype for so long and send videos to each other.”

The Berlin accountant Tobias Hopp (39) is responsible for looking for an apartment. He also helps with all other official appointments, whether child benefit or car re-registrations. Hopp: “We have two partners, Deutsche Wohnen and Gesobau, and one or two providers of furnished apartments. Since the partners in Berlin don’t always have apartments available either, we work a lot with the exchange of apartments between the players. If one moves out, another moves in.”

For example, Mathias Gidsel (23) lives in Johan Koch’s old apartment (went to Lucerne/Switzerland).

After the 35:25 against Melsungen it was time to pack your bags again, the foxes have to go to Aguas Santas (8:45 p.m. / DAZN) on Tuesday.
