He was one of the heroes in the win against Flensburg (37:33). Foxes young star Lasse Ludwig (20) showed eleven great saves and thus captured the victory.
Also against Erlangen on Thursday (7.05 p.m.) the U21 national player of the Füchse Berlin will be needed again in the Liqui-Moly-Bundesliga, because the use of both goalkeepers Dejan Milosavljev (27/ foot problems) and Viktor Kireev (35/ tooth surgery) is still questionable.
This is how the Füchse talent can get going again: The man with the right to play twice with the Füchse and VfL Potsdam (2nd division) is actually on vacation!
Foxes manager Bob Hanning (55) and Ludwig’s trainer in Potsdam reveals: “I actually gave all my U21 national players ten days of vacation, they don’t have to come back to training until May 15th. Because the U21 World Cup starts in our own country in June and we want to control the pressure a bit.”
“I like to skip vacation”
Ludwig had already planned something else: “I actually wanted to fly away for the weekend for the Flensburg game and then visit my family in Baden-Württemberg. Of course I was happy to skip the vacation. The win against Flensburg was unbelievable. I don’t even know where my head is. I’m just overjoyed that I was able to help the team.”
Hanning is also very proud of his young keeper’s performance: “It’s no coincidence for me, Lasse isn’t a product of chance, that’s what we train for. There’s hard work behind it.” And Hanning adds with a laugh: “We’ll be happy to cover the cancellation costs for his weekend trip.”
