The foxes remain in the handball Bundesliga in the race for the Champions League places, sweeping in front of 7373 fans in the Schmeling-Halle Erlangen 39:30 (19:13) from the floor.

Wanted or necessary? In any case, the execution on the field is charming: Because late shopping Robert Weber (37) and returnee Hans Lindberg (41) share the game on the right wing. Weber is allowed to play on the floor and Lindberg always trades with Weber for the seven meters. In this way, both left-handers successfully work off their record marks.

Because Weber makes his 2500 Bundesliga goal with his second goal in the 5th minute and is now in a very special club. Only five players have scored over 2,500 goals so far: Jochen Fraatz (2,683), Lars Christiansen (2,875), teammate Hans Lindberg (2,891) and Yoon Kyung-shin (2,906). Weber (6 goals in total) ended up with 2505 goals.

Weber: “The record is a nice side effect, I never thought that I would have the opportunity to top it again. I’m just happy that I can help the team that brought me in like this.

And Lindberg also netted two out of four seven-meter shots, he is now only 13 goals (2893) short of Yoon’s HBL record.

In the game, the Berliners push the pace and quickly lead 19:10 (26th). Handball can be so easy. Goalkeeper talent Lasse Ludwig (20/12 saves) shines again in the back and Lasse Anderson (8 goals) scores in front.
