Fourteen protected jewel geckos from New Zealand have been seized in a crackdown on illegal trade in protected plants and animals. Now the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) must look for a new home for the gecko family, preferably in their home country. That’s not that simple.
