Four suspects arrested after kidnapping boy (15) in Amsterdam

The police arrested four suspects this morning in connection with the kidnapping of a 15-year-old boy. The boy was taken in a van on January 10 on the Tweede Jan Steenstraat in the Amsterdam district of De Pijp by three men.

The kidnappers then tried to escape the police via the A27, but they did not succeed. Near the village of Groenekan, the van was surrounded by police and the boy could be freed. The three men were then arrested by the police.

Four arrests have been made today. It concerns a 41-year-old man from Amsterdam and three women – 28, 31 and 35 years old – from Amsterdam and Amstelveen.

Interrogation

The four are in custody and will be interrogated soon. The police have not disclosed what they are suspected of. The police do not rule out the arrest of more suspects.
